Alan J. Sferra, 62

Poland There will be funeral services at 10 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 17 at the Rossi Brothers & Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Ave. in Boardman, followed by a 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at the Holy Family Church in Poland, for Alan J. Sferra, 62, who passed away Monday evening, Oct. 13. Alan was born Nov. 22, 1945 in Youngstown, the son of John and Donna (Clemente) Sferra. He was a 1964 graduate of Poland High School and retired as an inspector with the Ohio Department of Transportation. He was a member of the church and enjoyed taking care of his yard and cars. Alan was a loving and compassionate person who was always willing to lend a helping hand. Alan loved his family and will be sadly missed by everyone, especially his mother of Poland; two brothers, Colin ³Buddy² (Pauline) Sferra of Struthers and his twin, Anthony Sferra of Poland; his aunt, Bertha Frasco; his nieces and nephews, Barbara, David, Amy, and Kevin; and many special cousins including, Nancy Frasco, Jacinta Ferrara, and Robin Adams. He was preceded in death by his father. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 16, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 840 Southwestern Run, Poland, OH 44514.
