Boardman - There will be funeral services at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 11,
2010, at the Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home in Boardman, for Richard
E. Byers, who passed away Friday morning, March 5. Richard was born Aug.
26, 1936, in Cleveland, the son of Frank E. and Betty (Johnston) Byers.
He worked for 28 years at the Edward J. DeBartolo Corporation. Richard was a
model train hobbyist, but his true love was taking care of his family.
Richard’s beloved wife of 51 years, the former Margie A. Kuvakas, passed
away Sept. 28, 2009. The wonderful family memories of Richard will forever
be cherished by his two sons, Frank (Liz) Byers of Belpre, Ohio, and Terrence
Byers of New Castle, Pa.; four grandchildren, Richard Bradley Byers, Joey and Madeline
Byers, and Brytta Byers; two sisters, Marilyn Hamilton of Hamilton, and
Shirley Byers of Cleveland; five nephews, Steve (Laurie) Byers, Mike
(Jennifer) Byers, Matt Hamilton, Doug (Debbie) Wolf, and Wayne (Patti) Wolf;
his niece, Kim (Tim) Koscher; and great-nieces and great-nephews, Rebecca,
Bryson, Emily, Paul, Grace, Alex, Sean, Ryan, Wayne Jr., Brandon and Justin.
Besides his wife, Margie, and parents; he was preceded in death by his
brother, David (Jean) Byers. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday,
March 10, and Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m.at the Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral
