NORTH JACKSON – There will be a 1 p.m. funeral Mass at the National Shrine
of Our Lady of Lebanon, 2759 N. Lipkey Road, North Jackson with the Rev.
Msgr. Anthony S. Spinosa celebrating the life of Armand J. Vennetti Sr., 97,
who passed away Thursday afternoon, Oct. 14, 2010.
Armand was born March 19, 1913, in Youngstown, the son of Angelo and Saveria
(DiPaolo) Vennetti.
He retired in 1975 from Youngstown Sheet & Tube (Campbell Works) as the head
roller. Armand was very involved with the steelworkers’ union and in local
politics as a third ward councilman. He enjoyed his time going to the horse
races, playing cards, bingo and bowling. He surely lived his life to the
fullest.
Armand was very proud of his kids, loving his grandkids, and most of all
spending his time with his family.
Armand will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Joanne (Mediati Polito)
Vennetti; his 12 children, Armand Jr. (Kathy) Vennetti, Angelo Vennetti,
Kathy (Daniel) Macklin, Maureen (David) Smith, Jack (Joann) Polito, Linda
(Andy) Feher, Maria (Ed) Klacik, Rocky (Lori) Polito, Paula (Steve) Dorman,
David (Kay) Polito, Sara (Paul) Pietrowski, and Frank (Michelle) Vennetti;
38 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Besides his parents, Armand was preceded in death by his first wife,
Margaret (O’Malley) Vennetti; four sisters, Mary, Betty, Mello, and Jay; one
brother Vender; and a daughter-in-law, Mikki Vennetti.
Friends may call from 5 to        8 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 17, 2010, at the
Rossi Brothers & Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Ave. in Boardman.
The family is very grateful for the comfort and support given by the staffs
at Briarfield at Ashley Circle, St. Elizabeth Health Center, and St.
Elizabeth Boardman Health Center.
