I love an erotic that promises heat and delivers! Right from the get-go you are involved. Love Ms. Black's writing, too.
It's time for a change, and Annie is determined to follow her dreams of owning her very own B&B despite her controlling jerk of a boyfriend, and overbearing mother. Tossing her fears aside, she soon finds out the B&B is haunted and is drawn to a new mysterious man named, Jason. He's blond, bold, and encourages her to open up, exactly what she needs. He's familiar somehow, and seems to disappear at the most inconvenient times making her question, is he ghost or man?
An Unexpected Guest is a ghost story turned time travel piece, and I was pleseantly surprised by the unexpected twists through out. I'd definitely recommend this read, only I didn't want it to end. Hint, hint, Ms. Black. I'd love a sequel continuing Jason and Annies romance, and their journey at the haunted B&B.
Read for less than 10 minutes and I'm already REALLY disliking this book. Definitely not my preference for *ahem* wording, and I'm a little shocked that a full-blown sex scene recap begins on PAGE TWO. Are you kidding me? I get that it's supposed to be erotic, but we barely know the character's name or pieces of the opening story whatsoever before [BAM!..SEX SEX SEX!] starts. Very disappointed in the overall quality of writing. It was honestly such a turn-off that I don't have interest in picking it back up.
Ok so whoever edited this book did a terrible job, I hate a book where I spend more time picking typos, spelling errors and spots in the story line where the writer forgot she already changed her character out of her pajama's so she can't go change out of them again! It was a very small story line that the author repeated portions of over and over again throughout the whole book. The erotica portions in this book were decent tying it in well to story line at the right places. You wanna like this character but the writing is in the way. Not worth the price it's at, when it goes on clearance worth a few bucks.
